When to harvest comfrey?

I've got this monster comfrey plant, which is permanently covered in bees and so makes me feel like I'm single-handedly staving off global ecological collapse. However, I also want to harvest it at some point to make a liquid fertiliser. I assume the best time to do this is when it stops flowering and the bees move on, but when will this happen?
